Watercolor Painting Season
I observed that my painting passion has its highs and lows. There would be weeks and sometimes months that I would regularly paint. Then for whatever reason there might be, related paraphernalia would be set aside till God only knows when. One thing is for sure, when and if I decide to pick from where I left, it's like I didn't stop at all. Everything will fall flow smoothly like watercolor paint on a wet paper. At times new techniques and ideas will even be discovered simultaneously. I even felt the new vibe emanating from my works this year. My paintings seem to be evolving but at the same time, settling in terms of styles and identity.
I should be at my art nook the more, to take advantage and get more art done during my painting season. I started off unusually with an urn then returned back to my all time favorite, florals. Surprisingly too, I crossed the limit I set for myself which is not doing portrait and I did two. Urban sketches and paintings fascinate me a lot too, I finally gave it a try and I am quite happy with the outcome. I got the hang of continuous line drawing as well during this season and being the "lazy and impatient" artist that I am, I am loving this particular style of sketching.
I wish there would be no lows anymore but there is and I am experiencing it as of this writing. But I can always cheer up and find comfort that I would be resuming this well-loved craft of mine anytime soon. Thus, I would like to end this blog by saying till next painting season!
